# uninstallApp

> Uninstall an app by its package name.

Uninstalls an app. The simplified form takes the package name as a single
string.

<Note>Android only.</Note>

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type      | Required | Description                                                 |
| --------- | --------- | -------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| `package` | `string`  | Yes      | Package name to uninstall.                                  |
| `saveAs`  | `string`  | No       | Variable to store this step's return value on `env.<name>`. |
| `retries` | `number`  | No       | Times to retry the step on failure before failing the test. |
| `skipped` | `boolean` | No       | Skip this step at execution time.                           |

## Shorthand

Package name as a single string.

```yaml theme={null}
- uninstallApp: com.example.shop
```

## Examples

```yaml theme={null}
- uninstallApp:
    package: com.example.shop
```
