# toggleSettings

> Toggle an Android system setting.

Toggles an Android system setting such as airplane mode or Wi-Fi. The simplified
form takes the setting name as a single string.

<Note>Android only.</Note>

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type      | Required | Description                                                        |
| --------- | --------- | -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `setting` | `enum`    | Yes      | Setting to toggle: `airplane_mode`, `data`, `wifi`, or `location`. |
| `saveAs`  | `string`  | No       | Variable to store this step's return value on `env.<name>`.        |
| `retries` | `number`  | No       | Times to retry the step on failure before failing the test.        |
| `skipped` | `boolean` | No       | Skip this step at execution time.                                  |

## Shorthand

Setting name as a single string.

```yaml theme={null}
- toggleSettings: airplane_mode
```
