# authLoad

> Restore browser auth state from a Playwright storage-state file.

Reads cookies and `localStorage` from the file and injects them into the current
browser context. Paths resolve relative to the YAML file.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type      | Required | Description                                                           |
| --------- | --------- | -------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `path`    | `string`  | Yes      | Path to the storage-state JSON file.                                  |
| `saveAs`  | `string`  | No       | Name of the variable to write this step's return value to.            |
| `retries` | `number`  | No       | Number of times to retry the step on failure before failing the test. |
| `skipped` | `boolean` | No       | Skip this step at execution time.                                     |

## Shorthand

Storage-state file path as a single string.

```yaml theme={null}
- authLoad: ./auth-state.json
```
